GROWTH IN CHRIST
- Sermon By: Pastor Gbolahan Odunsi
Most often than not, we seek to remain in our comfort zones.
This unknown to many translates into a danger time zone.
Comfort zones are so dangerous that they can easily become suicide zone without us knowing. In fact, that you are facing oppositions is a sign that you are moving against the tide and not with it. You see, every motion must face an oppositional force which can be overcomed only when a relevant force is released against it, talking about the relevant skills we‘ve acquired through knowledge.
Friends, as you grow in the LORD, you gather more strength necessary to overcome oppositions. I have seen trees pulling down heavily mounted fences and cracking walls as a result of the growth taking place. Growth is assign of life, it doesn’t matter whether we see it or not, as long as there is life growth can’t be stopped. As much as dwarfs don’t grow in their bodies, they still grow in their senses. Growth helps you to exercise your dominion over contrary situations without feeling it.
“Not that I speak in respect of what for I have learned n whatsoever state I am, there with be content. I know how to be abased and I know how to abound everywhere and in all things I am instructed both to be full and be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.” Phil. 4:11-12
The effect of apostle Paul’s spiritual growth made it possible for him to abide in the will of God throughout his lifetime. If you don’t grow, you will groan.
To finish your course you must go from strength to strength.
